I don't know about you, but I am a hundred percent obsessed with eating oatmeal. To say it is my favorite breakfast food is a colossal understatement.
Making a big batch in the slow cooker is a great way to have a homemade, comforting breakfast that is ready made for you when you wake up. It really just doesn't get any better than that.
This oatmeal is infused with the flavors of spiced apple cider and cooks overnight with grated apples and raisins. You will wake up with the most amazing scent permeating through your house.

Apple Cider Slow Cooker Oatmeal
1 1/2 cups steel-cut oatmeal
3 cups apple cider
2 cups milk (can use non-dairy)
1 large apple, grated
1/2 cup raisins
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp Kosher salt
Spray the bowl of a slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place all ingredients in the bowl and stir to combine.
Set the slow cooker on low heat and cook for 8 hours.
Remove lid and stir before serving.
This oatmeal is best enjoyed with warm cream and a big dollop of peanut butter.
