This Autumn Sangria has all of the spiced flavors of fall, but stays light and bubbly with the addition of Champagne. It's the perfect addition to any cocktail party and easy enough to serve to yourself on a last minute whim.
Champagne is always my drink of choice, well, alcoholic drink of choice that is.
I enjoy bubbly in any form, but especially love to combine it with fruity, creative mix-ins.
So when fall rolls around every year, I move away from the berry puree's of summer and lean towards ingredients like pear, ginger, and apple cider.
If you've already decided this is the drink for you, it's your lucky day. This autumn sangria requires only three ingredients!
Sparkling Autumn Sangria
1 1/2 cups apple cider
1 cup ginger beer
1 bottle Champagne (or sparkling wine, cava, prosecco)
Sliced apples, pears, cranberries for garnish
In a large pitcher, stir together cider and ginger beer. Pour in Champagne.
Pour into glasses and garnish with fruit.
Ginger beer is a non-alcoholic beer, similar to root beer, only ginger. It can be found at most liquor stores, specialty food stores, and some major grocery chains.
